Al Naboodah Micro-tunnelling and Directional Drilling Division was established in 2001 to undertake works utilizing Micro-tunnelling and horizontal directional drilling techniques for the installation of utilities such as sewerage, storm drainage, irrigation, telecom, telemetry, power, oil, gas and district cooling. To date approximately 80km of service crossings under major highways, waterways, taxiways and service corridors have been successfully installed using state of the art equipment.The divisional fleet consists of 10 Herrenknecht slurry type microtunelling machines, capable of installing pipe diameters from 200 to 3000mm ID. For HDD operations the division operates a fleet of 4 HDD rigs ranging in pull back capacity from 10 - 150 tons.
